God

You’ve heard people say what “God said…” or what “God told them to tell you…” while some of these things may or may not be true you’re encouraged to think beyond the surface. You’re encouraged to consider the possibilities. You’re encouraged to challenge “conventional wisdom.” You’re encouraged to question what you know about God, since much of what you know about God came from a man.

The statements below are meant to have you think deeper than by challenging some of what you know.

While I believe one’s relationship with their Creator is a personal one. By engaging our own mind we are then able to engage each other in healthy conversation about subjects we hold dear to our hearts. With that being said, perhaps by considering the possibilities you’ll discover greater truths, increase your spirituality, faith and believe system.

  1. When you proclaim that money rules everything around you does that mean that money is your God?
  2. Keep trusting your third-eye, instinct and God force above all else.
  3. God didn’t make religion man did.
  4. God didn’t make spirituality to be confusing man does that all by himself.
  5. God didn’t give everybody the same assignment.
  6. Man continues to justify his madness in the name of God.
  7. Using the phrase “God said…” doesn’t mean that God said…
  8. Your relationship with God doesn’t have to be a public announcement.
  9. Don’t let another man’s fear of God stop you from thinking, planning and executing.
  10. Show and prove what you think you know about God by your deeds then with words.
  11. If we believed everything we couldn’t explain was only for the wisdom of God humanity would not press forward.
  12. Because you challenge what you were taught about God doesn’t necessarily mean you’re challenging God.

I came across your post on twitter. First off, I COMPLETELY agree with everything you said. You’ve reached a rare level of enlightenment, which is really hard to do when it comes to spirituality. Personally, I am anti-religion. All religions have that common message of salvation and living right, but when humans get a hold of the spiritual aspect of religion they pervert it. I feel the closet you’ll ever get to God is by looking in the mirror, because if we were indeed created by a supreme being then according to the laws of a genetics, part of that being is within us. Lastly, (don’t mean to be long winded) I just wanted to say that Religion is indeed man made and it takes away the power and greatness of God. It boxes God into a world of limits on human nature, and consequences…

    Again, Love the post! =)

I like what you said. But I disagree to the notion that God didn’t make religion. It is God who makes religion and unleashes it unto the people. Now whatever people may do with it — manipulate it, destroy it or whatever — is totally one’s personal matter. I don’t wanna drag it. Hope you’re getting me?

Sidrah, thank you for responding. I can live with someone who disagrees as long as they have some thoughtful basis for their reasoning and position and do it with respect as you have. I look forward to reading your future comments. :-)
