It may be wise to fast on a regular basis. Fasting means different things to different people. Generally, people fast along with some form of prayer and/or mediation in an effort to clean their mind, body and spirit of imperfections and impurities.
Some people go on a sun up to sun down fast while others go on 24 hour or longer fast. A fast generally requires you to refrain from participating in some of your regular activities. For example, this may mean not eating pork, beef, chicken, fish, fast and junk food, cursing, having sex, smoking and/or drinking alcohol.
If you’ve never been on a fast or haven’t fasted in a considerable time, perhaps now is a great time to consider fasting. People who tend to fast regularly and properly tend to have a better quality of life overall. This isn’t backed up by scientific study or research, but by personal observation.
When you fast it may be a great idea to post your research and how you did after you’re done. It may not be wise to tell everyone you’re fasting, especially those people who haven’t yet matured or earned a higher degree in personal growth and development for they may feel some kind of way about your fasting and unintentionally shoot your efforts down.
