Social media means different things to different people. Some people use social media to improve their social life. Some people use social media because it’s a cool way to pass time, find funny stuff or be exposed to motivational messages. Some people use it to build their personal brand.
Companies may use social media as part of their overall marketing strategy while others use it to interact with their target audience, provide a better client experience and sell products and services.
Whatever the reason for using social media there aren’t many hard and fast rules that are applicable across the board. Many rules of social media etiquette and engagement are related to if you’re a business or individual and the industry you may be in.
